A flush door consists of a light timber frame covered on both sides with some form of sheet material. A core may be used to increase the rigidity of the two panels - called facing or skins and to keep them apart. The frame is made from quite small sections of timber, usually 38 x 38mm, and is butt jointed and fastened together with glue and corrugated fasteners or staples.
If you have a garage door opener, oil the traveler rail. If you have a side-mounted garage door opener after that dismiss this action. Most garage door openers will certainly have a rail that runs from the motor product to the wall surface the door is mounted on. This is the rail that the opener arm travels back and forth on the open and close your door. This rail has to be occasionally oiled to keep the opener traveling perfectly and help prevent premature deterioration.
Can you fit an opener to the garage door you already have? It can be possible but it will depend on the type of door, its quality and the tracks. The best thing to do in this situation is to contact a professional installer and get them to have a look, many will do this as part of a free quote. If it cannot be done they can give you options on a new door.
Mechanical and photocell are 2 mechanisms which need to be evaluated. To test the mechanical feature, insert a chunk of wood or brick. The door should reverse back when it touches the object. To test the photocell feature, push the close button and pass your leg from under the door. The door should reverse back. If it doesn't, it is time to buy a new garage door.
