This post is way overdue, I shared a little preview of it last week but I wanted to share the complete look with you as well!

I shot this look during my quick #VegasForTheWeekend Trip with Obaku. I'm loving white jeans RN with a pop of color, I received this fun top in my last Stitch Fix. I wasn't able to find the exact one anywhere but I've linked some similar below!

Drugstore Beauty Mini-Haul

Wednesday, June 1, 2016

Alright, it has been a while since I did a beauty post so I thought it was time. I've been really into watching Youtube Beauty videos lately so it inspired me to pick up some new things on my last run to Target. Here is what I picked up and my thoughts on each! I'm sharing these in the order that I would use them.
Drug Store Beauty Product Reviews
e.l.f. Skin Tone Adjusting Primer Okay, I have been looking for a new primer and had hear some of the products from this brand were great for their price, this primer is only $5.99. I decided to try the Tone Adjusting one, they 4-5 other types. On first testing, the container seems really nice. It's a good purple color, it reminded me of this a bit. The cap does not stay on great, but not a huge deal. First impression on my skin, this product is very slippy/silky. It felt good on my skin and went on easily, I just used my hands. I applied the Maybelline Fit Me! over the primer using the blender. I think the foundation went on well over the primer but by the end of the day I felt like my foundation was almost all gone. I would say this wasn't a win for me.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation in 122 Creamy Beige I will start by saying I like how smooth this foundation goes on, however it wasn't quite the coverage I wanting for this time of year. I think I will find myself using this more in the upcoming Summer months for a lighter coverage when my skin is a little more bronzed. It does stay pretty matte through the day, though I am a little self-conscious of my pores so I wasn't totally sold on this part. For the price, this is a good foundation overall for Summer coverage.
Drug Store Makeup Reviews
Maybelline Dream Lume Touche Camouflant Lumineux Highlighting Concealer in Nude Chair Love this Stuff. It's so easy to use and I actually use it for more than just a concealer. I use is under my eyes, down my nose and a few other spots to give me an easy highlighting. It also does cover blemishes well.

Blender Clearly, I've used this so sorry for the foundation on this in the photos! One thing I've really changed about my beauty routine since college is not touching my face. I try not to throughout the day, it's not easy, but by applying makeup with a brush or blender this really seems to have helped my skin. When using the Maybelline Foundation, I use a q-tip to dab small dots all over my face and blend with the blender. I think I'm still perfecting, but overall a great tool.

Pixi Petra Glow Peel Pads These little babies have quite the kick. I was drawn to these for the skin evening and toning treatment in them. When I have blemishes, I can really feel these little wipes deep cleaning and detoxifying. I usually will wash my face, then wipe one of these all over my skin, then rise off after about 2 mins. It does give this glowy effect, that I love. I wouldn't use these everyday as it says on the package to be careful of the Sun after use. I've used 1-2 times per week, depending on my skin that week.
